I plan on getting a 90 dx hatch but its an automatic. Will I need tho modify any of the motor mount brackets before i convert to a 5 speed.

 

The rear, passenger side, and front mount are different on the autos. You can probably get the front to work but the rear and side are another story.

 

the chassis mounts are all the same. well, except for the rear one, but that one's not part of the car, its on the crossmember.

the motor mounts themselves are different, though.

 

i did the good old auto to emanual. the only one that you can still use is the right side (drivers) you will need to get a new bracket for the back. or at least from a junkyard. but yea. depends what motor your puttin in. if you are going b-series dont worry about tthe front you dont use it.

 

what about the tranny side? what modification will i need to do?

 

the rear bracket and mount, and the left mount. you need to get those. from a 5spd from the junkyard or sumttin
