I'm trying to get the driver side axle out of the intermediate shaft. I have pounded, pried, and pulled until my arm feels like its going to fall off, but it won't come out of the intermediate shaft! I have the rest of my car apart and don't feel like putting it back together just to drive it to a shop so they can take it apart and pull the axle out.

Is there a trick to this?? help!

Use a hammer and long flat bladed screw driver. It's a royal pain to get out lots of times.

 

When parts that I need to take off get stubborn I call up the guys that I race with, grab a case, and let everyone have a go at it. It will eventually come off.
