93 Civic DX Hatch Problem: Break Lights Remain on All the time!
He guys I have a 93 dx civic hatch w/ an ls vtec motor swap, just yestersday, the breaklights came on and would not turn off even when the keys are not in the ignition. This is drains my car battery. Has anybody had this problem before? Any real help would be appreciated. Thanks.
The reason they are on if because of a small plastic piece on your brake pedal just broke off. You can go up to honda and get replacment for like 3 bucks. Just get up under your dash and check out the brake pedal, you should see where the peice should go. You can either get a new plastic peice, or find a nut and bolt to put in the hole.
EDIT: I just saw that you are in houston. If you still have problems PM me and I can show you what Im talking about.

I'M ACTUALLY IN SPRINGFIELD, MO. THE PLASTIC PEICE THAT YOUR REFFERING TO, IS IT BLUE IN COLOR? I LOOKED UNDER THE DASH AT THE PEDDLE ASSEMBLY AND COULDN'T FIND ANY HOLE. IF YOU COULD PLEASES GIVE ME A CALL (713) 385-5375. THANKS.
Same thing happened to me. There is a switch that this little rubber peice presses into. My rubber peice fell off. So I tapped it back on. Look for any random peices of rubber / plastic that are sitting on the floor. Or you can just buy a new one. Good old duct tape fixed my problem for now atleast. I wish i had a picture sorry.
