Skid Plates for del sol?
I was talking to a friend of mine last night and he said they make underbody skid plate for 92-95 egs and also del sols. He could not remember the companies name that made them or the link. I did a search and most of the links were all dead. I did find one that said check out http://www.fastlineperformance.com/products.htm but I went there and could not find one.
If anyone has a link or knows if these are even made for the car, any info would be great.
Thanks

Do you mean the rear diffuser plate that pretty much covers the opening from the gas tank to the bumper?

Nope I mean an actual skid plate. And the way my g/f drives she needs a full underbody skid plate. I have one on my gti vr6 it coveres the whole front end oil pan, tranny, exhaust, ps pump and so on. I was wondering if anyone made anything like that for the honda's. There was a thick 1 inch of plate steel welded on her old dc sports header but she hit a "pot hole" in Newark and did a ton of damage to the car. I just got done fixing it and raised the car up a little higher but wanted to added protection for the underneath in the mean city streets.
Just found a pic of the skid plate on my vw.

I'm actually thinking about making one on my own. The closest I've seen to a skid plate for a civic was some $500 CF underbody aero thing. Nothing for skidding, but it was supposed to help the air flow better. ($500 for a CF aero plate that said "There will not be much of a difference with this product but.....")
Yeah skidplates are big on the VW's I had one on my 97 Golf.... It covered the oil pan and the complete under side of the engine. It was perfect since that car was on the earth..

I highly doubt that. But thanks for the information

I would like to see this as well... if in fact there isn't one available then someone with fab skills and a shop could make a prototype and start producing them. Damn I wish that someone was me.
That is why I posted on here. I figured someone would have seen them or heard of them. I will keep looking and if I find it post the info up on here. The one for my vw works really nice. It bolts in 4 locations using existing holes in the subframe. It took less then 10 mins to install and once installed only takes a few mins to take off. 4 bolts and it is off.
