Default 95 Honda Prelude Overheating at stop

It Over heats when im at idle or stop. I turned the car off and then my fan kicks on. When i turn it to on position on the key before i start it . The fan cuts off

isnt that just the fan doing its job? My fan does that too. But its nowhere near overheating, or at least thats what my gauge says. My coolant level is fine, and my radiator seems to work flawlessly. I think it just kicks on, to cool faster.....
