I have a b16 swap i just put on a type r manifold. Had the problem before the manifold but got a lot worse after. The problem is hunting idle from 900rpm to 2500rpm once car is warm. When the car is cold it idles at 2500rpm (normal). I searched and found some things about the FICV so i checked that by plugging the hole(no suction). Nothing changed so i pluged the top hole (going to the IAC) lots of suction. When i covered that hole the car idle normal. Would that mean i have a bad IAC? or is there something else i could try?

try cleaning out your iacv with carb cleaner, clean out the are where the gaskets at....and if that doesnt fix the idle problem. take the Fitv off and screw the screw back in

and also bleed all your bubbles out of the coolant, check for vaccum leaks
