Valve adjustment problem with Portflow head
Just finished assembling my motor and had a valve adjustment done. On the #3 cylinder exhaust side, with it all the way loose the clearence is still too tight. Any ideas what the problem could be?
All the other valves adjusted fine
All the other valves adjusted fine

wow, i would think the rockers are maybe hitting the retainers=not letting the rockers have play..but its only on those two.....your best bet is to call tom and ask for his expertise...
real quick question for you guys since you guys are on the topic anyway if you dont mind.., i had a buddy do a valve adjustment on my car... he used a feeler gauge... now how do you guys measure when your doing a valve adjustment... metric or standered or ??
if i could have someone explain to me how to do a valve adjustment and how much clearance is needed for my set up that would be great, because after he did the valve adjustment.. i tore down the head and all of my valve guides were shoved down a quarter of a inch!!!
its a ls motor (b1)
i had jdm itr pistons, with crower 403 cams when the guides got shoved down....
im planning on runing ctr pistons with the 403's next though, so i dont really want the same thing to happen again to this new head i have...
