how can you tell aftermarket valve springs
I have aquired a set of valve springs for b series vtec. I was told that they were crower but i think that is wrong. There is 16 outer springs and 8 inner springs. I think they might be factory honda doesn't type r springs that way, but i thought it was dual springs for every valve. Corredt me if i am wrong. If anybody knows any specs on common springs please post. so i can have them tested to see what they are. Thanks
Try a valve spring "vice" "Compressor" what ever its called.. and see what it Binds at.. Then find the specs for the springs you "think: they are or should be and compare
Sounds like GSR or B-16, but cheap is cheap. There are 50 people on her that sell new Crower, Omni, Rocket, Skunk, REV, Ferrera, RD, Web, etc. springs. All known to work well.
99% of the aftermarket stuff uses a dual spring, I would say it is a stock spring. I think the R stuff has a painted line on the bottom...red or yellow. I will be honest I do not use the stuff but I have seen it before.
