Pics I took at the Baltimore Convention Center this past weekend (no comments about my wife or kid please ..... ), and of the Mini release at the local BMW dealer.

Some comments:

Yes, the Civic Si is as ugly as they look in mags ..... it was on a turntable, so couldn't get in it ....

The 360 Modena convertible is pure sex ....

The Mini sounds like it is going to be an autocross BEAST .... Miata's have a lot to worry about ..... they start at $16,800, but the one pictures is optioned out, and will be close to 22K. They are arriving in late March, with the Cooper S in late June.

My friend is 1st on the list at this dealer (his sister is 4th), and gets first dibs on each one that comes in (until he gets the one with his option packages that he wants - no special package ordering until at LEAST August ....)

 

I just came back from Mini Training...Got to see a Cooper S also. The S is pretty sweet. Way better than the Cooper....Couldn't take any pics though. They have factory kits in the works that will push it to over 200HP!

 

Yeah, the BMW rep said she hadn't even seen the S yet .....

I had to leave so the baby sitter could get to class, but after I left, my friends got to take a ride in the cooper around the parking lot, and the rep. blasted around it! They both said it handled on rails ...... this one had the 16" upgrade wheels. I can't imagine what the S will be like .......
