Default how do I wire a linear actuator?

I am new with using linear actuators, but have a decent amount of wiring knowledge. I want to simply make a screen go from flat to about a 80 degree angle. I know I need an actuator (will make measurements for size later), but now sure exactly how it is wired to a switch to open AND close. Any suggestions?
Thanks

check out the pic below illustrating what I am trying to accomplish. any suggestions on the size/stroke of actuator might need. also, how is it wired to a switch?

wire it reverse polarity ( so it gets +12 on one wire {a} and neg on the other wire {b} in one direction..., up say, and then it gets neg on {a}, and +12 on {b} to go down. ie like a window switch.

also, move the contact point on the screen side closer to the middle of the screen, and maybe the contact point on the car a little lower ( less 'work' for the rod).

a 6" throw should be more than enough ( if you have the room).

hope that helps.

</TD></TR></TABLE>It's not a big heavy screen so you will not need a very big and strong actuator, I would spend the money and get an actuator with limit switch's built in, [that way it could be a one touch system] or if you want angle control, then save the $$ and skip the limit switch's, if that is what you want to use then all you need is two relays and a small on/off/on rocker switch, [like a power door lock switch] in fact you would wire the relays the same way as you would a door lock actuator, if you just want to use a switch and no relays, the switch will have to be bigger and dual pole, [it will depend on amp draw of actuator] with relays all you need is a 1/4 amp single pole switch.
There is a formula that will tell you what size and stroke of actuator to use. I never use it, all I do is tell the order desk what I want to do, they ask how much does it weigh and what are the dimensions, I tell them, they give me a recommendation, for what you want, starting at about $50.
Hint....... you could probably use a small semi automatic power ant. about $25, it will come with everything, all you have to do is find a way to attach the tip ov the mast to the back of the screen. 94
