Default Energy Suspension front UPPER control arms bushing

I'm in the middle of finally changing my front UPPER contol arm bushings. Do I reuse my factory sleeves for those?
So far, I pressed out the old ones with the factory shell, have the ES units in BUT inserting the factory sleeve does not seem like the way to go, i.e. they are very loose, in fact so loose that they fall out on their own.

I'm getting conflicting stories here, I was just told that I should not have pressed out the outer stock bushing metal shells. Can any one confirm this?

I think I should have pressed them out as the ES bushing would not fit.
Help is appreciated.
