Default Q: DC2 chassis with B16A2 block/b18c5 head??

ok, well there is this Integra Type-R.
Everything is legit Type-R. Except the MOTOR.

Owner claimed he blew up he's original B18C5 ITR motor
when he turboed it.
He had to get a new engine, which he did. And its B16A2.
He says the car has B16A2 block with B18C5 internals.
I am not sure though, but he said either he has B18C5 head with
GSR camshafts, or B16A2 head with GSR camshafts.

Owner seems like a really nice guy, so I honestly believe he's stories..
but just in case.

The car is turbocharged(full greddy kit @ 5psi, currently tuned with
VAFC2, but needs some serious tuning to get real power out of it.),
we drove it and it runs like a champ. Everything looks good, no leaks,
pulls hard, etc. It runs REALLY rich. when you go in WOT condition,
cloud of black smoke comes out in the back. I mean ALOT.
Mid-range feels especially strong, top-end seems its dying off a little,
but that could probably be eliminated by tuning it imo.

Any thoughts on this?

Depends on the price, ... and it could probably use a Hondata/Chrome/Neptune or Power FC for engine management/tuning.

First of all what does he mean when he said b18c5 internals? If he was trying to say he put his pistons and rods in the b16 block then he is bs'ing. You can use the pistons in the b16 block but the rods are too long to use. As far as the head goes, the b16 head and b18c5 head are the same casting, but the b18c5 head has a better valvetrain. I don't know, I would find out EXACTLY what he is talking about and have someone that knows look at the car. Also what is the asking price, an ITR without the b18c5 usually sells for a good deal less then an original ITR.

that car is a theft recovery which is why is has a b16a2 swap in it, maybe it does have gsr cams but whoopty do gsr vs b16 cams

ive heard it was a pretty clean car, are you getting it for that price or cheaper or what?
