Hello All

I Hope you can help me with a problem Ive been having with my ITR.

Recently whenever making a right turn on full right hand lock from a stop, the car is making a whiring noise (like a cyclic whir-whir-whir noise). Once the wheel is released and straightens out a few degrees, the noise immediatlely stops, however if it is kept on full lock (ie- in parking lot), this noise continues, it also can make this noise on full left lock, but it is more intermittent. This noise does not occur when the car is cold, but if the engine is warmed at a standstill, it still takes a while before this noise starts. There is also sometimes (very rarely) a clicking/ticking noise during right hand turns. All these facts lead me to believe (from past posts) that there could be a CV joint problem. When I took my car in for a service (at a Honda dealer) recently, I asked them to look into this noise. They noticed the noise but also found a bad gearbox mount, which they said could have caused it. Ive had this mount replaced, but the noise has persisted. When Honda contacted me, they said that they can investigate, but it will mean dropping the gearbox out!!!?? They also refused to let me speak to the tech who worked on it for possible ideas. When I got the car back I asked if it was safe to drive, and they responded 'well we wouldnt give it back if it wasnt' WTF??? Now im not very happy with honda, I realise the noise is not constant, but if there is a problem, I would prefer it to be fixed. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be???? Or for that matter is there any UK people on this forum that can recommend a good independent mechanic to repair??? Also there are very few places in the UK (besides Honda) that stock parts like driveshafts, will US driveshafts fit??? I would like to thank all of you for your help

as for that noise, could it be the PS pump, mine makes a hissing kind of sound when at full lock.
