Noob question about lowering a CRX Si..
Hey everybody, first post so bear with me..
I've got a 91 CRX Si that's about to get a set of 15" Rota Slipstreams wrapped in Falken 195/50/15 tires. Along with that I'm going to get a set of H&R Racing springs to lower it.
Will I need to buy a better set of struts to go with the new springs?
Any other suggestions would be great..
Thanks..

There are endless threads here about this so the search will help but essentially the synopsis is:
You can get away for a short time with your OE shocks but before long they will be insufficient and you will need a fresher and better set of shocks to match to your springs. This will mean that you will need to undo your installation of the springs to install the shocks. If you can afford to do shocks and springs at the same time, you will only need to do it once so you will save yourself a lot of effort if you do it yourself and you will save yourself from doubling the labor cost if you pay someone to install it.
The H&R Race spring have pretty aggressive rates and lower the car quite a bit so it will be needing good dampers for proper control. Also, make sure that you have plenty of bump rubber installed to keep it from bottoming and causing extra damage.

your car is a 91, its 14 years OLD. theyre going to mostly keep your car on the road and function to keep your suspension together... but you should replace that if you want a baseline performance.
