How much should I charge for h22 swap ?
Yeah, your prior experience is definitely a factor...unless of course you are POSITIVE that your skill and ability will ensure 100% success. Your quality of work is also a factor. Do you perform solid soldered/heat shrunk connections or are you a butt connector type of guy, are you going to just hack a hole in the floor or are you make a solid mounting with a sealed perimeter that is coated at the cut line to prevent rust?
Typical swappers around here do some jackass shotty garbage work, yet they charge big dollars. Around here an H swap would run 2500-3400 dollars labor to get a very pretty, quality, properly functioning H22 swap. There are hackjobs around here though that'd probably do it for under 1000.00. Set your prices based on your quality of work, and don't reduce the fair market value of that work either. Be competitive with your pricing so long as you can back it up with quality.

If your just A do it your selfer with no over head I would say that A $1000 is A fair price considering It's not that hard to do and it's been done A million times and theres no big secert on how to do it, you can find the info anywhere on it now A days.
2500-3400 dollars is A rip off for a swap, what shops are qouting that price?

i agree with 1000 bucks... the swap isn't that hard if you know what you are doing it can be done in a day. why be greedy... 1000 bucks a day is some sweet *** cash!!
Damn, looks like i'm a low baller. I charge $300 for SOHC-SOHC or DOHC-DOHC civic/integra, $400 for SOHC-DOHC civic, $400 for h22 accord/prelude, and $650 for h22 civic/integra. I thought my prices were high.
Not that much more work. Anyone done an H22 into an Accord LX? Wiring is about the same as the Accord wiring, the only thing other you gotta do is cut off a mounting bracket on the passenger side, cut out a hole in the tunnel, mount cable linkage, and make a custom fuel feed line, not that hard if you ask me. My swaps are clean, my wiring is all solder + shrink wrap + electric tape + plastic wire loom, no MacGyver **** here, $1000 is waaaaay too much.

its only too much to pay if you can do it yourself. If you dont have the knowhow, tools, time and experience, $1000 might look pretty good

the shop I am having mine does has done 3, clean jobs, no problems, very good work. He is charging me $600 to do mine. I will be getting some of that cut off cuz I am gonna help with the swap but $600 is a good price for a professional job. It ultimately is up to you how much you should charge. I hope you know what your doing though...

That's so true. We're thinking of offering engine swap training LOL (nearly double the cost, but still under $1000 LOL)
For H22 i would shoot for $800, it's a one day thing if you've done it and you have a friend to help you (that doens't get in your way or ask questions LOL) and you never know what may go wrong, what might need to be replaced.

The shops out in my area charge closer to 1700 for a swap install only. H22 that is. Hell, putting in my first b16a into a 91 hatch cost about 1200 labor. Now I can do that stuff myself.. but then I was learning everything...
For DFW,TX.. a 1000 bucks would be a steal if they provide the hardware.
