Default autozone charging

when autozone "re-charges" your battery does that mean its like brand new again? or does that just get you a little more life out of the battery and you should replace it soon?

the battery is going on 5 years and interior lights are starting to look dim

autozone will probably throw the battery on a fast charge, wont do much as far as your lighting. If your interior lighting is dim , replace the bulbs , and check your grounds.

the bulbs are new and the grounds are secure.

so is it just prolonging the life of the battery a little bit or will it make it like new (or close) again?

probably wont make any noticeable diffrence. Charging the battery will only help like if the car sits for a long time, and the battery is dead. Batteries wear out and get old , to where they wont hold a charge anymore.

Odyssey
Optima
Or just pick up a cheap Duralast or whatever...I've used Duralast for the past year, and no problems, can't beat it for $65 or so...plus if it takes a dump on you, they'll replace it for free.

Autozone CAN do a slow trickle charge too, they just never do unless you ask specifically for it and are willing to wait all day for it to be done.
