Default re wiring IAT sensor, does polarity matter?

i lost the connector(harness side) on my iat sensor from my 99 civic si. i ghettoed rigged a new connector and forgot which side goes which. i gave it an ohm reading and seems like the current runs through each other. if this is the case, then when i rewire em back up.........................would polarity matter?

PS: it is a 2 wire sensor.
