but but... It's right between the wheels. And it's not much lower than his exhaust.
What the hell kind of road debris was that, to cause that damage?

Why would you bother fixing it?
After getting damaged so severely this quickly, that should indicate to you that this bar will not work on your particular vehicle for your particular uses.

You might be able to fix it by welding a piece of angled aluminum on each side. Noticed you are from Flagstaff. Asome twisties through Oak Creek Canyon
I would love to take my ITR on that stretch.

it was a rock. (i think)
these are just made of aluminum, right?
so it might be cheaper to replace, or get a bigger front sway bar?
opinons welcome

Sorry, what bar is this again? Is it really an Antisway bar or is it some Traction bar?
If it's an Antisway bar, I'd stick with stock. If it's a traction bar, I'd ditch it and worry more about concentrating on what's in front of you in the future.

It looks like it's hollow from the way it is twisted. If so you may be able to bend it straight and cut it were the crease was. Then sleeve the inside with some IMC or rigid pipe, and drill some holes to put some bolts through.

I was going to a company party, and I was looking at which parking lot people where in. Of course, the second I look away, I nail something.
Its a lower tie bar. Similar to the one in the rear, it connects the 2 front lower control arms.
I have a good friend that can weld anything, I am hoping he can fix it, or make me something new.
I guess JB weld isn't a good idea with this one.

I have a butt load of experience with t-6 and yes that is hollow. The only way to repair that is remove it and cut away the bent section and weld in a new piece. If you try to bend it back it will either kink or brake either way it will be useless. They use aluminum because of its tensile strength which it long longer has any right now.

Tensile strength is a term used for the amount of force used to pull an object apart in a linear fashion....say a piece of rope. Rope is measured by it's tensile strength. Where as when a hollow (or solid pipe) is bent toward it's ends or in the middle is measured by a completely different term. Also, the tendency to bend toward the ends of a hollow/solid pipe are greater than it's tendency to bend directly in the middle of each end.

I don't believe there is an "OEM bar" or any other "oem" piece linking those two locations in the front underbody.

Seeing as how most R's have about 5" of ground clearance - that was a big f'n rock
take that useless piece of metal off and sell it

I'm putting an APC sticker on it and putting it on E-bay. LOL.
Probably just gonna hang it on the wall and then replace it.
