yall, just please ride responsibly and be careful, bikes may be cheap, fun, a great bang for the buck, might even make you seem cool. but it can also change everything u've ever known in a split second. if that doesnt scare you, think of what his family has to go through now... this was a good man, he was the main supporter of his mom and 2 brothers, not to mention he would have dropped everything at a moments notice to help out a friend in need.
already missing you Joey,
Zane.

I t-boned a car (not my fault) on saturday, and it was a miracle i can still walk, let alone i'm still alive.
If i'm comfortable back on a bike, i'm gonna become really defensive and make everything a concious move.
RIDE SAFE, EVERYONE, PLEASE
RIP Bud

somehow my friend sideswiped a guardrail on an exit ramp, then got launched. i think they measured about 700 meters from where he first hit to where they found his body on the other side of the highway....
yeah, he had gear on but when they found him, his helmet was split in 2 almost, one of his feet was broke, (almost torn off) but no scratches anywhere...
and as for the bike... its in about a million pieces...
thanks for the nice words guys.

OMG. Really sorry to hear the bad news.
I try to stay out of that comfort zone and be alert at all times. I like life a whole lot more everytime I get off the bike for reasons such as this. Its the best therapy in the world. I try to explain to people who dont ride .........but they just think I'm LOCO.

I'm sorry but the analyst in me has to do it....
Coeficient of friction on deceleration:
Motorcycle Rider on Pavement
Leathers (not tumble) .60 -.70 IPTM
Polyesters, Synthetics (not tumble) .70 IPTM
Cotton, wool (not tumble) .70 -.90 IPTM
Any material rolling or tumbling 1.0 IPTM
Speed = √ (30 *feet*CoFr)
700 meters ~ 2300 feet
Let's be generous and say he didn't touch the ground the first 800 feet and was wearing leathers and didn't tumble.... math tells me he was doing 160mph... god I hope math is wrong.

My condolence...
I will never get off the comfort zone, everyone's been telling me to not ride the bike. But I love it too much to stop, my conscience is being pushed down.
I don't think he would do 160mph on an exit ramp.

wow, thats pretty good, im not much on math.. i just count money.
anyways...
come to find out.. he had on jeans, leather jacket, and gloves. the news said he was doing approx 120. in a left lane, then there was skid marks from what seems to be a back tire that led all the way to the concrete guardrail, where it seems he was launched in the air and came down approx 70+ feet away, where he skid down hill almost another 700 meters(or feet, i dunno) to where he was found on the other side of the guardrail.
part of the bike(part with engine) was on top of the rail a ways behind him. the forks and front tire where found on the highway somewhere...
as far as the numbers go, im not exactly sure, i didnt see the police report, but thats the rujmor.
anyways... like someone said before hopefully this accident will save someone elses life.
ride safe
(we all know that area where it happened, and we think something may have happened to the bike that messed it all up.. maybe something locked up... chain, gear, brakes.. **** i dunno. but it just doesnt make sense how he could lose it where he did..

i lost 2 friends in 2 weeks here in utah. it really hurts, but we all must ride on. we know the risks every single time we get on our bikes. thats part of the thrill, and part of the commradory. we love what we do. and some of will love it to the end. we have a passion, a passion that NO OTHER MOTORSPORT HAS. this is why we wave to eachother when we pass. or we speed up a little to catch that other biker a little up the road just to ride side by side. some of us are what some call squids, others are not. but whatever you are you are a motorcyclist. and when one gets hurt or killed we can all feel the pain, cause it has or WILL hit close to home at sometime in our lives, then it gets real. it gets real cause in those minutes or hours that we ride ***** to the walls through a awesome canyon, or on the track, we sometimes forget that reality. so in closing i just say keep the rubber side down, and the women in our beds. (except if your a chick rider, but thats ANOTHER POST!) i care about all of you truthfuly. stay safe
