Switching to Synthetic
I'm in the process of doing a turbo install on my 97 Lude w/ 54K miles on it.
It was brought to my attention that it would be wise for me to switch to synthetic motor oil. Whats your opinion?? I just want more input.
And also...how many quarts are you luders using when you change your oil??
thanks

You should be fine to switch to sythetic.
I use 5 quarts.

I was told by a dealer that honda recommends synthetic for all VTEC engines. I think the reason why they recommend synthetic for VTEC's is that VTEC's uses up oil, and maybe by using sythentic, this will minimize the oil usage. I'm not sure.
