Default b16 mild build

if i put the full omni head package ( dual springs , titanium retainers, high comp valves)some skunk 2 stage 2 cams ( i have stage 1 currently) and some integra type r pistons in my b16a , outfit it with arp hardware on the stock rods . would that be a reliable daily driven setup compression and driveability wise? also this setup would be solid to rev to about 9k rpm safely would it not? ( i have quite a few other bolt ons im just curious about this internal setup. thanks for any opinions and help.

I'd stick with p30's and shave the head .020 and use omni's flat faced valves. No need to upgrade to arp rodbolts, but its cheap insurance. Im running stage 2's in my b16a w portflow valvetrain, ctr pistons on stock shaved rods, and a ported head, revs to 9800 no problem and makes grat power. Make sure you have some way to tune it, Im using a chipped ecu, vafc and wideband. Goodluck w your motor

i might just get springs and retainers and call it a day, i wouldn't feel safe going to 8600 rpm without them . ill probably get the car tuned pretty soon. see if i can get it running a little better with that , and then i'll pick up those omni springs later on, or maybe buddy club, they would only be a hundred bucks more and they have those coted retainers.

HEY

Sorry about posting in here but im not getting any responses

I own a 1990 honda civic with a stock d15b2... aka shitty motor. I am thinking of ordering in a jdm b16a. I want do do a complete build up of the motor but cant find any recipes for some good horse power. Im also going to put 18 psi of boost through it so i have to lower the compression ratio a bit. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GRRREAT!!! I'm mainly into muscle cars and when i beat friends they say its not fair(all in imports) so i wanna build an import and show em ill still win
haha thanks

Purpleterror, what kinda power does that setup make and where does it peak at? I'm really curious. That is awesome though

Hmm stage 2's making power at 9800 is very unlikely, it may rev that high, but not make power, but who knows. I have stage threes right now and im lookin to get rid of them for something a little bit less, because it sucks having Vtec set at 6200. eventhough it pulls like a horny virgin prom date on a *****
