Default Delta 272 Camshaft (d16a6) question

Hi people, i've been lurking here for quite a while, just finally registered. I'm a regular at d-series.org

Anyway, I have a d16a6 with a delta 272 cam. I was finally able to fire up my motor the other day after 8 months of the car sitting. I can get the car to idle fine, but the whole motor just rattles the entire car. Every mount is bolted down to spec, and the timing set to stock.

Do I need to get an adjustable cam gear? Or, is the stock timing going to work?

Oh, one more thing, would the cylinder position sensor failing, cause the motor to feel like it has no power at all, and drive very slowly, even at high rpm's
This car will be daily driven, not raced.
