Default Different kind of broken alternator..HELP!

The positive terminal broke off on my alternator. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to buy a new one. The engine is a JDM H22 in a 93 Accord. Thanks for the help

the same thing happened to my 02 alternator. the nut was seized to the positive terminal spade and the torque needed to break it lose snapped the threaded brass? post/bolt off inside the alternator. does anyone know if i can extract the broken piece out of the alternator and thread in a new post? i don't want to have to buy a whole new alternator because of one broken bolt. there has to be a fix... thanks.

you'll need to take apart the alternator and fix it, it's probably broken off of the voltage regulator.

so you think the post is actually a bolt with a head possibly on the backside of the volatage regulator? I was hoping it might just be a threaded rod that could be extracted externally.

I'm thinking wrong I just woke up, the main battery terminal is attached to the rectifier not the regulator. No coffee yet, take it apart and look to see where it's broke.

Either way the alternator will need to be removed.

Why don't you spend a few minutes taking it apart and find out? You might learn something, and if all else fails you gotta buy a new one like you should already be planning on doing.

EDIT: HOLY FUKING 4 YEAR OLD THREAD DUDE!

Yea, it's out of the car. Just thought I'd ask around to see if anyone was familiar with the terminal post assembly so that I could find out if it's a possibility to extract the post externally before I cracked the whole thing open and dug into it.
