I have a 2002 honda accord and the cluster works fine but when the light is turned on all the gauges light up except the tempreature gauge but the gauge still works, so I opened up the back of the cluster and then i saw a black line to the light socket behind the temp gauge and i think the circuit burned out so if anyone can please help me it will be greatly appreciated. Also other question that if i get a new cluster and when i plug it in will it display the existing mileage or will it display something else thanks.

 

you can't swap clusters (legally) without swapping the odometers...as for the light, you didn't try to replace it or anything? just try swapping the bulb out and see if that fixes your problem...

 

When you were looking at the wires did you take the bulb out to check if it was burnt out. I would do what Nick H said first.

 

yea actually I did take out the cluster and checked if it was the bulb so i put another one in and it didn't work and i think the circuit was burned out since on the green circuit pad there was a black line leading up to the socket. and about the cluster swap what is the process involved in getting everything done correctly and should i just take it to the dealer and see what they say thanks.
