Default All motor solutions to GSR

Hey, I just signed up at honda-tech, kind of a newbie to forums. Been a reader for a while, but never posted. This is my first post.

Let me begin by saying that I will be entering college this fall on a full scholarship. Due to this, my dad has graciously offered to buy me a car. We're both car fanatics and I plan on studying mechanical engineering in college. But I'm beating around the bush here. We've tossed up many ideas, and BMWs, Audis, 4 wheel drive being somewhat of a concern. Although I'd love to drive a 330xi or maybe even a TT, I'm somewhat interested in Integras. Partly because my friend has a ls/vtec in his 98 teggy. I'm considering scrapping up a GSR and tuning it. However, I'm not very familiar with honda blocks and their potential. I know the LS/vtec is a lethal combination yielding lots of power yet can be very unreliable if built incorrectly. What kind of potential does this B18 GSR engine have? I'm looking for an all motor car, something that can run 13s. I live in MD, so InlinePro will most likely be doing all work on the car. Thanks.

if you wanna run 13's and youre dad will get you a bimmer-just get an m3.

but if you wanna go all motor teggy, what kind of money would you have to play around with the engine. there are a 101 ways to get a honda into the 13's.

go to ts-r inline pro is baller status ... and for a college boy you should be paying you own way.... if you get an integra start your head ... get a b-16 head with a denet set of cams and a b-16 tranny you'll be alot clsoer to 13s its a start

Your thread is great. I've gotten an idea of what I'd be looking at with a GSR. Thanks alot. Also, in reply to another post, buying any M3, even used, would be kill on insurance.

I wanna be rich to! The only thing my dad ever gave me was a black eye.

Go with the Honda power! I work on German cars for a living, but i drive a honda. They are easy to work on, there are so many parts and swaps, and the price for parts wont make you **** your pants like german cars will.
