Default Koni Sport(Red's) Question

Just wanted to make sure I had the replacement for my stock metal collar. In the kit, they supplied me with a clear rubber piece that goes, according to the directions, between the bump stop and the upper shock mount. Is this Koni's metal collar replacement?

I am not sure what metal collar you are talking about. The plastic cone sits on the rod at the taper point where the rod necks from the 12 mm shaft to the 10 mm pin. If I recall, the stock shock has this too. The bump rubber sits over it and the washer with the angles ID sits on top of it. Everything goes back together just like stock.

The metal collar I am referring to is the metal piece that goes between the two rubber bushings. From what you said, just re-use everything, but in the Koni Shock Install thread it says that the kits usually come with a metal collar replacement. Just wanted to make sure I have everything I need to install tomorrow.

For the red shocks with the 10mm OD pin detail like you have, you reuse the stock metal sleeve. Only onthe externally adjustable Sports do we supply a new sleeve as it is 12 mm ID to fit the larger diameter pin detail required for use on externally adjustable dampers.
