problems installing an OBX lsd
i am looking for some answers and advice. i have an 89 crx transmission that previously had a phantom grip installed in the diff. i am having my friend swap in an obx lsd along with changing the final gear to one of an crx si transmission.
now, i bought the lsd, part # 9200. it was advertised as for an 88 and up crx transmission on ebay. when i go back, the same seller still has 'em, but the part number is the same for the 92 and up civic sohc's. when the install was attempted, "the carrier bearings dont fit, and the speedo gear is the same issue."
well, im not a transmission guy, and my friend currently can not research the info as he doing a turbo kit install as i type. any comments, and help are more than welcome, and definitely appreciated.

I hate to say it but take the OBX back...there are major problems with them. Save your money and get a better LSD. Search the board and you will find all the problems people have had with them.
I called my friend doing the install, and luckily I have access to an Si tranny, which I got the final gear from. the tranny does have some grinds, and I will have my mechanic swap over the dx gears which are in immaculate condition.
I still have the issue of the speedo gear. Any furthur thoughts are appreciated, and thanks for any help up to this point.
