Default Front Sub frame

Anyone else had problems with their front subframe? I went to install a lower tie bar today and the bolt seemed to break off the nut in the subframe Now I need to buy and install a new subframe. Has anyone else done this, any quick tips on how to make this go smooth. Why is it every bolt Honda uses for suspension seems to rust and break prematurly.

1. Anti sieze is your friend.
2. You could cut a hole in the sub-frame to get the nut & then weld it back up.
3. I have read a couple threads from people this has happened to...
4. To make it go smooth, have a friend or two handy to help get the subframe down.
5. Don't forget the steering rack & rear tranny mounts are attached to it too...

Yeah I hate that damn steering rack. Basically to do this I have to get a my exhaust redone as well. My header is weleded directly to a flew pipe that is welded to the exhuast. At the time it seemed like a good idea.

Take it to an exhaust shop & see if they can put the car up on a lift, cut a small square hole, tach weld the nut back on, and weld the cut hole back up. This task shouldn't be to hard for an experienced welder, but it may cost you a few bucks for the professional help...

Oh wait, I forgot to ask if the car was drivable. I'm guessing it's not. Mabey you should snap a photo of the sub-frame & ask a few people if it can be done for a reasonable price if you get it towed...

AAA is your friend. I think you get 5 or 10 miles of towing for free...
