Miine did something similiar and it was a bad battery cable connection and old battery. Once replaced, I had no problems.

Look for a component in the throttle boby called an Idle control motor. There comes a time where it and the throttle body need to be cleaned of pcv system residue and dust. What can sometimes happen is dirt builds up (it doesn't take much) interfering with the IACM's function, much like having dirt getting into the idle fuel port of a carburetor.

As to your batt / clock condition; let me think on that one

sometimes the mounting screws holding the Intake Air Control valve (IAC) vibrate loose and the coil doesn't work the valve properly and your engine "chokes" for air and stalls.
Look on the backside of the intake manifold behind the throttle body for a connector. Feel if it is loose, if so plug it back in. Jiggle the connector with the engine idling. If the engine stalls something is loose or broken.

This valve controls the air to the engine when u take ur foot off the gas.
