I was wondering if i have to use the amp w/ remote that it comes with, or if i could just use my own amp to power it. anyone heard of this sub?? i have a 4th gen lude, so i would only need one to put in between my rear seats

yeah ive been looking around for a 6x9 subwoofer too. that one actually looks pretty good, at least its a name brand and the specs arent too shabby. everything i found was crap. if you get it, let us know how it works out.

If you don't plan on using the amp, why pay for it? Put the extra money into a nicer set of 6 x 9 component speakers and just use the woofer from that. As far as I know, you'd end up with a nicer speaker for a similar amount of money. Plus you would get tweeters as a bonus, instead of an amp that you don't want. Put the nice tweeters in place of your stock ones, and sell the extra 6 x 9 to a fellow 4th gen owner.
Here's an example of a model I would look into:

btw, someone please post and correct me if there is a difference between a 6 x 9 component woofer, and a regular 6 x 9 subwoofer. afaik there shouldn't be.
