Default 5th gen gauge cluster question

I want to replace the magnetic motor that moves the rpm gauge in my 5spd lude but so far i've only found SS lude gauge clusters for sale. The rpm gauge in SS looks a bit different. here's some pix.
here is 5speed

here is SS

i only need the motor because that's what makes my needle not run smooth. My question is... is the motor the same in both clusters and the actual cluster moves the motor to the right position, so that if i use SS motor in 5speed it'll work fine?

am I right? has anyone tried this?

go to your local honda dealer. the motor in both the "ss: and the 5 speed should be similiar, but the ways the motor is positioned on the "ss" it might not be,. ask local honda dealer.

ok.. i'll try to ask honda dealer, but i doubt they'll help me. usually when u get too specific with them they'll just tell me to buy a new cluster.
