does anyone have any personal experience with the newer 1000RRs equipped with the HESD? has anyone read any reviews that would compare them to the regular dampers?

yes...

 

I dont really drive around daily pushing my bike to its limits, so for my needs its great. I only push the bike a few times a week if that, I live in fl so how hard can I really ride. The more advance 1000rr riders have complained about it not working up to their needs. Alot of the track guys have changed it and from what I hears some street guys are starting to change them as well.

 

my friends 05 1000rr has it, i rode his bike and its stable compared to my 05 r6 w/o one and the frontend on the r6 is so light
