ok. so heres what happened:
battery was moved to the trunk. the ground wire off the battery goes to the rear passengerside shock tower. i sanded the area down to bare metal, slipped the ground wire over the suspension bolt, and tightened it.
the power wire starts out as a 1ish gauge wire and goes to a 150amp fuse (like one used for a system). on the other side of the fuse it changes to like a 2 gauge wire. it is routed through the interior, under the carpet, into the passengerside fender, and into the engine bay under the fuse box where it goes straight to the starter.
then theres a little 8 gauge wire from the starter to the fuse box
then i cut the stock ground wire, put a connector on the end, sanded down the new ground area (on the chassis), and bolted it on.
so that takes care of how everything is wired... now onto the problem...
it started once, and it was all good. then i tried to start it again a few minutes later and it wouldnt start. its like it got halfway, then stopped lol. so i look at that fuse and its blown. so... what could have caused this? im not much of an electrician, so try to use small words hahah
if anything, i took out the fuse and just connected the two wires with a bolt and wrapped it in electrical tape... could i drive it like this or risk having something even worse happening b/c i wont have that fuse?

Eh... I don't think it is that big of a deal... I was blowing my fuse so I took it out... Even my trust mechanic didn't think it was a big deal... Over a year later and my car hasn't burned down...
