civic si with rsx head swap
I was interested in putting a rsx-type s head on my civic si and was wondering what kind of gains I will be looking at? And if anybody has any dyno graphs on this matter will be very helpful too.
I was into doing that too... the head on an rsx is about 3 grand and you ony gain like 15 hp. the best thing to do is build the motor, and drop in a turbo at 20 psi. at least 300 hp AT THE WHEELS... Just some food for thought.
Actually you can get an A2 head for a great deal less I got mine for $1200 out of a 03 Type S in a salvage yard. The car had gotten rear ended and totaled it but the engine hadn't been touch and it only had a little over 16000 miles to it. One mans junk is another mans treasure, plus I've had friends do the same and get a better deal than $1200. Junk yards baby.

You don't need a built motor, nor anywhere CLOSE to that level of boost to hit 300 whp on a K20A3. Stock motor and ~10-12 psi on a properly sized turbo (with tuning) should do it no problem.
