Annoying clutch pedal releases too late for my tastes
I've got an "issue" with the clutch on my '90 Civic DX where the distance it releases from the floor is too long. I had a couple of my friend's complain about it also when they drove it, and when I do sometimes I won't realize it's too far down and the engine slips, reving up too high.
I'm not car savvy, and this is my first car, but is there a moderately easy way to change how long you have to pull up the clutch in order for it to release? It seems like there would but again I've got little experience in this field.

the is a clutch cable that comes out of the firewall on the drivers side in the engine bay then runs across the top of the motor then passes your dizzy and to the transmission on the left of the engine bay if you follow it down to your tranny before you get the the tranny there will be a big plastic nut i think its black . pull up on the cable a little to release tension and turn it to the left to have the clutch engage when the pedal to closer to the floor . but dont have it grabbing right off the floor bc then the throw out bearing could be riding on the pressure plate just get it about in the middle . do a seach for clutch adjustment to cable clutch adjustment there are pics in some of the post of what im talking about . have fun its easy once u find it takes less than a minute . just give it a turn or to see where its at do it again if needed .
