Cruising RPMS, running hot and sore wrists
Am I a sissy or what? My right wrist got pretty damn tired after a 20 min ride today around town. Just got my bike a week ago, anyone else experience this?
What RPM do you guys usually cruise around town at? Whats best for the bike?
My temps seem to shoot up pretty quick when I'm not doing more than 10 mph, especially stopped in traffic, any suggestions?
Thanks.

Yes you are a sissy j/k man. Are you "resting" your body on your wrists. Try not to put so much weight on them, use your legs to hug the tank to take some of the weight off. Also I think your wrists should be straight, that will also help take some of the stress off them.
I can't answer the temp thing.............my bike is always hot unless I'm on the freeway. But 10 mph is not very fast, needs flowing air to get/stay cool.

If your back isn't sore then you're putting too much weight on your wrists.
Crusing RPMs = Whatever they're at when you're doing cruising speed in the highest gear.

I usually cruise at around 4-5k (inline 4 cruising is probably a bit higher to be in your powerband). But my bike is different than yours, 10k redline + I have power within the entire range.

Flex your abs. It helps take the weight off your upper body.
You should be cruising around 5-6k, maybe even 7k, so that you can squirt out of a bad situation if need be. Don't ride around in too low of a gear, as that can lug the engine. If you're stuck in traffic, can you share lanes? That will help get some air to the bike.

haha... yeah don't be "that guy"^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
relax your arms use your back and legs. it will take some conditioning to get it right, your back will be sore, but in the long run you will be a better rider with good posture.
