So, Rick and I were talking last weekend about getting something going for the Infineon crossover race in August. It looks like there's quite a few out-of-region H4 drivers coming that have never driven Infineon, so with that disadvantage, what are the locals willing to give up if one of these guys finishes top 10… top 5… wins?
Six-pack for top 10?
Twelve-pack for top 5?
A case and a car wash for a win?
Just trying to feel everyone out and see if we can get something going. Whada-ya think?

Yeah.. I thought about that deal, but most everyone who went to that race was new to the track, so it was a pretty even bet. In this case, we're outsiders heading to the home track for a lot of these guys.

I am not betting a thing. For one, the out of area racers are really good drivers, so I would never claim to be able to beat them anywhere.
and two, many of you will be happy to know that even some of the locals have not been on Infineon since last October, so even we will have to re-remember some stuff. If there ever was a weekend to beat a local at his own track, this would be it.

If you've driven it, you're a local, but you're still welcome to any wagers with the H1 guys.
We're bringing a few H1 cars.
I could just start the 'smak-talk' if that would help, seeing how I'm a H5 car running H4 and have virtually no chance at a top 5.
PS, I look forward to meeting everyone.

Did you lose those 95 lbs or so yet? If not go on a diet.

We will be coming up with quite a few cars. It'll be great to meet some of the fellow H-Ters up there.

I'm....uhm....looking for-ward....to...uh...meeting some of you too....and, uh....No, I'm not scared....No, I LIKE driving so little except for on tracks I've never been to...No, I'm not worried....Oh, yeah, sure I don't expect to be super fast right out of the box....No, fast downhill sweepers are like mothers milk to me...Get Real! That last little skip to the right out of the esses doesn't terrify me at all, not even one little bit - on the contrary: It makes me Hard!...Yeah, I registered...still seems like a long time away...huh? **** you! How'z it going on my list of things to do to the car - Joker!...Uhm, no I haven't really touched it yet...Yes! I'm gonna...I don't know - maybe I'll have the front end done....Oh, now you're making me Mad! Yes the Motons will be on...That's IT - this conversation has made me weary.
Scott, who should just get used to feeling funny about registering for far away events under uncertain conditions...

Not all 95, but I have made significant progress to the cars' weight...and yes, I AM on a diet.

It's going to be fun to meet and race some of the characters I have met here on HT in the last year or so.

Nobody better touch my Motons, or my head will most surely a splode.
Scott, who nearly passed out when he saw the new 05' 4-Ways...reminds me, I was watching a crew chief at a race talking to a driver about setup, and the crew cheif was spinning the adjuster on a reservior back to the starting point and then counting clicks and then doing it over and over again while they talked....reminds me of this other time when I saw a driver kinda of sneak to his car while the crew was away and turn the ***** for himself...*****! It's the ***** that make it all possible! More *****! ORRRRRR - an Etch-a-Sketch with a cable to the damper control block on a SUPER_DUPER 2822/TTX40-ish unit....

Unrelated mechanical DNF.
Scott, who has already revealed too much...these are racing sekrits after all. No wonder nobody wants to tell me what they're up to anymore. Anonymous and stupid can get you soooo much further - when they think you don't know what you're looking at.

Sean who thinks its excessively strange that Scott talks about himself in the third person would like to offer him the services of a good shrink in return for a good english teacher so Sean doesn't use run on sentences.
Unh-unh...I signed up for H1.
Maybe I'd better read the roolz again.
Scott, who doesn't think he'll be a threat in H1...even genius like mine can't make up for only having 180 whp to pull around 2500 lbs...

Scott isn't going to even bother responding to such a strange post, and wonders how strange HE might find some of the Cali peoples he meets at Infineon.
