Will a d15 manual trans fit a d16y8 manual trans

Some guy just gave me a d15 manual trans and I have a 99 d16y8 auto and wanted to convert to a 5 speed. Will the d15 trans fit on my car.thanks

Once you get mounts and all, yes, it will fit

Yes, the tranny will bolt up fine.

Any D series transmission is compatible with any D series motor. The same goes for B series, H series, etc.

Yes, the d15 tranny should bolt up. I would've said to try to look for a z6 or a y8 manual trans since they have the shortest gears, but hey, can't argue with a freebie.

Like stated before, as long as he gets the mounts. The transmission WILL work, there will be NO problems with it working, unless he messes up on the install.
