Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and this is my first posting. Please let me know if I am posting in the wrong area, but I don't believe I am.

Basically I am trying to fix an 89-civic that my younger sister use to commute to school. The car started to stalled out while driving.

I have already replace the spark plugs, spark plugs wire, distributor cap and cover.

Right now, when idling, if you gas the car the engine would died out. Consulting with my brother in-law, he suggests that I test the fuel filter and pump systems, Which I am planning to do next.

Anyone have any other suggestions to what could be the cause?

Do you have a check engine light?
