Install tips for Koni Yellows.
Ive done springs a few times, so I know the basics, anything I should pay special attention to when installing my koni yellow shocks later today? Anything I should look out for ? 97 integra.
thanks.
thanks.
Just follow the directions that come in the box and you'll be OK. On the fronts, you'll need to cut one ring off the top of the bump stops, and then you'll need to take a Dremel or other tool to bore out the small opening on the dust covers b/c the Koni shock rod is a larger diameter than the stock one. If you're lowering the car with springs, then I would not play around with the adjustable perches on the Koni's -- just leave them at the stock ride height setting (that should be where they are set out of the box). Good luck and enjoy these shocks. I love mine.
Dunno how it is with the teg, but on my CRX I messed up and put the brake line bracket on the wrong way...had to take it off and put it back the right way and it was pretty hard (note: if you read the instructions and use common sense by looking at the markings on the shocks you should be fine). I just put the bracket on facing the wrong way...not upside down or anything
