computer chipping check list
ok, ive decided instead of buy hondata or the greddy blue box, i was going to learn how to chip my own ecu for either uberdata or chrome. i was wondering what all i need to accually get inorder to do all the work. and where i could pic these things up at
- 1K resistor at R54
- jumper wire at J1
-two 0.1uF Capacitors
(all above can be purchased at radio shack)
-74HC373 IC chip (can be purchased at jameco.com)
-28 pin DIP socket (ebay it)
-AT29C256 chip
Chip burner (willem enhanced chip burner is cheap and can be found on ebay) and a computer/laptop. another chip burner is the BURN1. u can buy it for 95 bucks on http://www.moates.net. u can also buy the entire chipping set which includes the resitor, caps, 28 pin dip socket, at29C256 chip, ZIF socket on http://www.moates.net
plus if u need to tune the car u will need a wideband O2 sensor ( YOU WILL NEED TO TUNE THE CAR cuz all basemaps in uberdata/crome will run rich as hell)

kool, thanks for the help....now its time to go see if i can do this, i hope its not that hard
i might just end-up buying hondata for this motor. then learning the chipping/tuning side of the ecu's after.

Make sure you practice on a junk ecu....
I would recommend looking into crome pro. Hondata is really not worth it IMO.
