Just got my car back spoon del sol

Just got my sol back the stickers are coming and the bonnet is just a experiment i got a nice spoon coloured bonnet too.

Hey I thought spoon's paint scheme is patented by them because at the Hot Import Nights that I went to last year I asked the owner of the spoon racecars, and they told my buddy and I that the color is patented by them and for whoever copies it would get sued, or is it some bs that the owner was telling us?
