Default 2000 honda prelude suspension question

Im a noob when it comes to suspension tuning and I was just wondering if I lower my car 1.5 inches, would my wheels rub if my profile is a little thicker on my stock wheels? Also what are some of the precautionary measures I should consider when Im going to lower my car.

If I'm not mistaken Prelude's come with 16's, correct? I think you'd be fine with dropping 1.5" however anything lower than 1.75" I'd expect some possible clearance problems. Some precautionary measures that you should consider while driving is to watch out for potholes, indentations, anything that would cause a jerk in your car suspension. Just use common sense in terms of all this and you should be fine, just watch out for those pot holes .

and are there any risks that could harm my car in the future suspension wise like would I have to get wheel alignments more frequently or something?
