Default Primed Cappa???

ok today i figured why not install my fog lights.

so after three long hours and 12mm socket searching i got the bumper off. to find out that the deer cracked and broke more then i thought. the bumper is literally not usable.

*please note my car still hasnt been fixed either*

so it was a waste off time. sence the shop is taking for ever. im going to buy my front bumper and sell the one they put on it or keep it for a just in case deal.

so at http://www.partstrain.com/prod....html
they list a primed-cappa. what does cappa mean? is it lower quality, i noticed it was cheaper? which is what im lookin for(CHEAP). or should i but the primed one?

raw is just the bumper non primered or painted. like the fiber glass.

primed is just primer so you can paint it.

capa =

Coming form the Auto Body parts business....CAPA is the higher quality product. I has to pass fitment tests and such. If its a CAPA certified product it WILL fit beautifully.

thanks to a guy on PO.com.

Good call!

But then why is the Primed-capa, cheaper than the primed? Doesn't make sense

The Certified Automotive Parts Association is a non-profit organization that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA oversees a testing and inspection program that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA ensures that parts meet quality standards for fit, component materials, and corrosion resistance. CAPA is not a manufacturing, marketing or sales organization. The CAPA program provides consumers, auto body shops, part distributors and insurance adjusters with an objective method for evaluating the quality of certified parts and their functional equivalency to similar parts manufactured by automotive companies. CAPA was founded to promote price and quality competition in the collision part industry, thereby reducing the cost of crash repairs to consumers without sacrificing quality.

I replaced my front bumper and passenger front fender, fit very nice and had a friend paint it, so my verdict is +1 for certi-fit.
