Is any tuning necessary for my setup?
I laugh when people say "stock type R maps" and OBD1 ECU (i.e. hondata) in the same sentence. There was never an OBD1 type R. There are no "stock type R maps" for an OBD1 ECU. You're running a basemap intended for a type R motor, not necessarily stock type R maps P73 runs things a lil differently than OBD1...
And yes, you'll benefit a lot from tuning it, but wait till your setup is stable.

Understood, but come on if the program is as similar to a stock type-r as possible then what is the prob with stating it the way i did........ i dont think i caused any confusion but if it bothered you so much, im glad you were able to point it out to me and laugh about it...
Thanx for your opinion... And thanx for the replies so far guys
??So basically its a good idea to tune now and retune for future mods??

cam whats are you running? do you have a fuel pressure regulator?
i would buy a good set of cams, cam gears and fuel components if you dont already have them..and tune them all at once...
you'll see the hightest potential of your set up..and save you money in the long run...since you dont have to retune after you add parts..
