broken bolt stuck in front subframe...HELP!
i have a 98 civic hatch with Ex front LCAs and oem front sway bar that i put in. the two U-brackets that hold the bushings onto the subframe...one of the bolts that holds one of the brackets snapped and now there is a piece of it left in the subframe. i know this cant be good, but if i continue driving on it like this..i assume the other bolt is liable to snap from the pressure... as of now one bracket has its two bolts and the other is only being held up by one bolt. does anyone have any advice as how to fix this problem or has anyone expierienced this before? or what i can do temporairily? any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. thanx
dont know how much time you have, but you can always drill it out, get a screw or bolt extractor to remove it, or my best advice, take it to a shop and have someone
else remove it. speaking thru experience, its less stressful if you just pay someone to take it out.

That sounds like a bitch, with **** like that, pay someone. It's easier on you. Sides, with some like this, you need to get that car off the ground a few feet.
getting the car off the ground a few feet aint no biggie, i got the sway bar up myself and that was a bitch having to drp the exhaust and shift linkage. im just wondering how safe it is to drive around like this temporairily.
i twisted off a flange bolt(?) once. my and my neighbor took a chisle to it and tapped it in circles till we could get a hold of it. if it's in the subframe though, you probably won't have that kind of access to it... good luck
