Default SHORT SHIFTER

im prety sure the 88-00 civic shifters are all the same, but i was looking at an edelbrock short shifter and it says 88-95 would this work on a 00? looking for a quick Yes/No answer. THANKS

No. 96-00 shifters will NOT work with 92-95 shift linkage. You would need to get an EK short shifter.

different short shifter question, are the short shifters with a bend in them any better than the straight ones?

I don't think so. I think the ones with the bend in them will make it sit different in the car, like further back and what not.

this is what im talking about it says its for a 88-95 but the part # is the same as the one on the edelbrock website?

I'm lost at what you just said.

You said you had a 2000 Civic. That short shifter is meant for an 1988-1995 Civic. The shift linkage is different on the 1996-2000 Civics, hence why it won't work.

ok, but would it be the same if the part # from the edelbrock website says its for a 96-00, why would the part # be the same for diff year products?
