Please help...my 1990 honda's raditor fan suddenly started running the other night at 9:00 pm and kept running until around 3:00 am when the battery finally died. The car had not been run prior to that for 24 hours so it absolutely wasn't hot. We charged the battery and the same thing happened again last night and the car had not been run at all except for starting it one time to make sure it was charged. Any ideas on this spooky problem would be greatly appreciated.

could be the fan control module

 

sounds like one of the temp sensor's. or could be a bad ground, relay, wires corroted. have to remember that your car is 15years old. maby the "Japanizz Crazy Glue" is starting to break down. if you don't wanna get durtiyee, an electrical shop will diagnose your whip for bout $65 smackers.

 

Thanks everyone, you helped more than you know. I do know the car is 15 years old but it spoiled me by never giving me any trouble and being so dependable. With over 200,000 miles I guess I should be expecting that Japanese Crazy Glue to be giving out, lol that was very funny by the way. Anyway I did some work on it last evening and we have narrowed it down to the Cooling Fan Sensor. But it seems to be better since we moved some dirt around, lol.
