* i know dis motor has more power. what should i throw in? 404 cams from crower?
this motor sucks for the freeway, i only get 240mi on the tank
4300rpm on the freeway, sorta high. probably cuz dis is a suv motor.
i was thinking of just get a simple b16, low on gas, still some good power or just b18c

 

4300 on the highway? lucky...I go about 70-80 and Im at like 5200 rpm's jdm b16a it sucks

 

15s sound right for that motor. It has no top end, its all torque. It would do great in the 1/8th but then die out on the 1/4 so you get times like you did.

Something you could do is squeeze, its quick and cheap. If you want to go all motor try getting a B16 head.

 

yup. i was only 85mph in the quarter mile so i did a 15.6 w/ a 1.6 reaction time. pretty good first time at the track. i thought a lot of people like this motor. well i guess its a good motor... only to vtec it or turbo. but that means a lot of more $. im just go b18c vtec cuz i want sum fast right out of the box. that b20 can climb up moutains w/ no problems.

 

also i use to have a 94 LS teg. stock b18b motor
intake/header/exhaust
no pow. steering (unleash lots of torque)
that thing felt more power than the b20. but the b20 is a lot smoother.

i think i need headers and straight pipe.
