Mounting FMIC on 96-98 civic(searched)
When mounting your fmic did you have to notch out your bumper support? I would like to see some pictures so I can fix mine. Just for reference I'm using the precision 350.
here's a pic of how it's mounted now.

bumper doesn't fit correct

Thanks in advance

Post pics of yours with the bumper off. Mine looks like this:

Looks fine straight on, but at an angle you can see that it is installed at an angle.

you problem is that the piping sits the intercooler too far forward. I have the same problem with my AS1026 but I was able to rig it somehow. hope that helps

damn, you guys should try harder.
I fit the JRC 6" without cutting out the grill. All you have to do is shave some off the backside of the grills. On mine, the only reason the grill is cut out by the couplings is I used to have factory foglights, they had to go for the intercooler to fit.

with the jrc intercoolor i mounted mine not on the bumper support, but on two things behind it.. you could do it with any long intercooler-- my jrc 6" wouldn't fit under the bumper support either.
My pic is a bit dark but you can see near the left of the pic that the headlamp and bumper don't quite line up.
My problem was the 2 "U" shaped piping is hitting the bottom of the bumper cover. I just need to go back and trim more off. Also on your top pic w/o the bumper cover, it looks like the "U" pipe is tilted downward. Tilt that straight and trim the wheelwell cover to allow it to tilt.
My IC was a custom one I bought used here ( 25''x7''x3 )
Hoppe that helps...

i started to cut mine and then one thing led to another and before i knew it, the bumper support was gone and so was most of the bumper haha

also, your piping is your problem. get your "U" bend to wrap closer towards the core support and you should be fine.
